KUWAIT – Restrictions for Foreign National Engineers, and Diploma Holders Under 30 Years Old

Effective immediately, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) requires engineers applying to renew or transfer their residence permits to present a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Kuwait Engineers Society (KES).

PAM has also issued the decision that, effective 1 July 2018, foreign nationals under the age of 30 will not be allowed to obtain a work permit in Kuwait if they hold a university degree (diploma, bachelor’s, master’s or PHD).

AUSTRIA – Authentication of Diplomas Now Required for Initial Red-White-Red Card Plus Applications for Dependents of Red-White-Red Card Holders

Effective immediately, university diplomas and school leaving certificates submitted in support of initial Red-White-Red Card Plus (RWR Card Plus) applications by dependent family members of Red-White-Red Card (RWR Card) holders must be legalised and then authenticated under the ENIC NARIC framework.

Previously, ENIC NARIC recognition of university diplomas was not required for these applicants.

KUWAIT – Original University Degrees Required to Renew Iqama Residency Permits

Effective by the end of October, Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior (MOI) authorities will begin requiring foreign nationals to submit their original university degrees when filing applications for renewal of their Iqama residency permits.
