MOROCCO – Fewer Intra-Company Transfers Qualify for Exemption from Labour Market Testing

In the last few weeks, the Ministry of Labour in Morocco has tightened the qualifying criteria for the intra-company transfer work permit process. The ICT process exempts employers from obtaining approval from the Agence Nationale de Promotion de l’Emploi et des Competences (ANAPEC) certifying that no local Moroccan candidate suits the position.

KUWAIT – Restrictions for Foreign National Engineers, and Diploma Holders Under 30 Years Old

Effective immediately, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) requires engineers applying to renew or transfer their residence permits to present a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Kuwait Engineers Society (KES).

PAM has also issued the decision that, effective 1 July 2018, foreign nationals under the age of 30 will not be allowed to obtain a work permit in Kuwait if they hold a university degree (diploma, bachelor’s, master’s or PHD).

PANAMA – Work Permit Applicants Must Attend Ministry of Labour in Person [UPDATED]

On 26 December 2017, the Ministry of Labour issued a decree requiring all work permit applicants to visit the Ministry in person for biometric registration before submitting any initial or renewal work permit application.

AUSTRIA – Authentication of Diplomas Now Required for Initial Red-White-Red Card Plus Applications for Dependents of Red-White-Red Card Holders

Effective immediately, university diplomas and school leaving certificates submitted in support of initial Red-White-Red Card Plus (RWR Card Plus) applications by dependent family members of Red-White-Red Card (RWR Card) holders must be legalised and then authenticated under the ENIC NARIC framework.

Previously, ENIC NARIC recognition of university diplomas was not required for these applicants.
