QATAR – 30-Day Visa on Arrival Can Only Be Extended Online

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced that visitors who have entered Qatar on a 30-day tourist visa on arrival and who wish to extend their stay for another 30 days must do so via a new online portal, rather than through the Airport Passports Department.

QATAR – Rejected Block Visa Amendment Applications May Not Be Resubmitted Within 20 Days

Effective immediately, the Ministry of Labour in Qatar has implemented a new rule, requiring employers whose block visa amendment application has been rejected to wait 20 days before resubmitting the application.

QATAR – Electronic Travel Authorisation for Holders of Certain Visas and Resident Permits

Effective 27 September 2017, Qatar will introduce a single-entry electronic travel authorisation, valid for 30 days and renewable once, for holders of valid visas or residence permits from the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Schengen countries or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
