Effective 6 March 2019, the immigration authorities have published a new regulation requiring police clearance certificates submitted in support of immigration applications to include the applicant’s criminal record for the ten years prior to the certificate’s issuance.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Good Conduct Certificate Requirement Suspended

Effective 1 April 2018, the UAE has provisionally suspended the requirement to submit a good conduct (police clearance) certificate for a new employment visa application, until further notice.

The requirement to provide a good conduct certificate, in Arabic and attested by the UAE embassy, in support of new employment visa applications, was introduced in February 2018.
