RUSSIA – Reminder: Address Registration Within 24 Hours During FIFA World Cup 2018

From 9 May 2018 to 25 July 2018, increased security measures will be enforced in connection with the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the territory of the following cities:

Kaliningrad, Kazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Samara, Saransk, Sochi, Volgograd and Yekaterinburg.

Failure to register in time may result in fines and possible deportation from Russia.

RUSSIA – Moscow Migration Office Currently Issues Invitation Letters in Electronic Format Only

Effective 11 December, the Moscow Migration Department has stopped accepting request to issue Letters of Invitation (LOIs) in official paper form. LOIs can now only be issued as electronic documents.

RUSSIA – Technical Problems at Moscow Migration Office

The Moscow Migration Department in Sakharovo has recently refused to accept a number of work permit applications for technical reasons.

In addition, occasional rejections have taken place when applying to local migration offices for address registration, for employees who previously obtained work permits at the Moscow Migration Department in Sakharovo.
