MOROCCO – Fewer Intra-Company Transfers Qualify for Exemption from Labour Market Testing

In the last few weeks, the Ministry of Labour in Morocco has tightened the qualifying criteria for the intra-company transfer work permit process. The ICT process exempts employers from obtaining approval from the Agence Nationale de Promotion de l’Emploi et des Competences (ANAPEC) certifying that no local Moroccan candidate suits the position.

MOROCCO – New Online Work Permit Application Platform

Effective 1 June 2017, the Ministry of Labour in Morocco has made it mandatory to complete all work permit application forms electronically via a new online system called Taechir. Manual completion of application forms is no longer accepted.

MOROCCO, BRAZIL, CHILE – Legalisation of Documents Waived Under Apostille Convention

Morocco, Brazil and Chile have all recently signed the Apostille Convention, which eliminates the need for consular legalisation of public documents. The Apostille Convention will enter into force for Morocco and Brazil on 14 August 2016, and for Chile on 30 August 2016.
