NIGERIA – Ministry of Interior migrates business permit/expatriate quota records to new online platform

Between 23 July and 31 August 2018, the Ministry of Interior will migrate its business permit and expatriate quota records to a new online portal called eCitBiz.

All affected companies should update their records and migrate to the new platform by 31 August 2018.

NIGERIA – Ministry of Interior Online Services May Cause Delays

On 7 May 2018, the Federal Ministry of Interior (FMI) is expected to launch its new online service, covering all aspects of the operations and workflow of its Citizenship and Business (C&B) department.

The new online application process is expected to slow down the issuance of the grant and renewal of expatriate quota applications. Companies will be required to generate application file numbers and verification codes for the online application process.

UPDATE: As of 25 January 2018, the below-described summons from the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Residency Office has been cancelled until further notice.

On 18 January 2018, Iraq’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) issued a notification that they had served all foreign companies’ visa representatives a letter stating that the management of all foreign companies under a contract with a foreign army or embassy or an Iraqi entity must attend a meeting at the MOI Residency Office, on Monday 29 January 2018, to discuss all regulations issued from the MOI for the years 2017 to 2018.
