KAZAKHSTAN – Work Permit No Longer Required for CEOs and Deputies

Some recent amendments to the Rules on Establishing the Quota for the Employment of Foreign Labour Force that apply to chief executives and their deputies are benefiting companies operating in Kazakhstan.

Effective 28 April 2018, work permits are no longer being required for foreign nationals who are employed as chief executives and their deputies of Kazakhstani companies with wholly foreign ownership.

JAPAN – Relaxation of Visa Requirements for Nationals of Five Central Asian Countries

On 1 May 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that several measures to relax the visa requirements for nationals of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will take effect on 5 June 2017.

KAZAKHSTAN – New Visa Waiver Program Covers 20 More Countries and Longer Stays

Effective 1 January 2017, nationals of 39 countries (up from 19) will be able to enter, leave and transit through Kazakhstan without a visa, and stay for up to 30 days (up from 15 days), for business, tourism or private trips.
