POLAND – New Appointment Booking Procedures

Effective immediately, a new online appointment booking system is in place at the Warsaw immigration office (Mazovian Provincial Office) for initial and renewal applications for type A work permits (local contract and payroll). The applicant can select a preferred date from an available range. However, the date confirmed by the authorities may not be the same as the date requested.

In addition, the Kraków immigration office (Malopolskie Provincial Office) has implemented a new system for booking an appointment for any work and residence permit application by email. In return, the applicant will receive an SMS notification with the appointment time.

IRELAND – Major Delays for Irish Residence Permit Appointments and Employment Permit Applications [UPDATED]

There continue to be significant delays in obtaining appointments for Irish Residence Permit (IRP) registration for non-EEA nationals in Dublin. The delays are expected to persist for at least the rest of this year, and the IRP Office in Dublin has stated that it can no longer offer emergency appointments for any reason..

[UPDATE] Furthermore, processing of Employment Permit applications is also taking a lot longer than previously. Applications submitted under the Trusted Partner Scheme are currently being processed in 6-7 weeks (previously 2-4 weeks). Meanwhile, standard non-Trusted Partner applications are taking up to 13 weeks (previously 6-8 weeks) to be processed.
